MBA e-mails are bespoke mailings designed to promote your institution. They are a good way of reaching students in your target audience. A number of bespoke
e-mails are sent out on a daily basis. Details of copy requirements for the e-mail you have booked into can be found below.
Target
Please specify your target audience when supplying your copy.
Copy
Please supply no more than 350 words of text. If text is supplied vastly over the word limit, it will be returned along with a request for it to be shortened to the required length. Remember, the shorter and punchier your text is, the more likely students will find it interesting.
Please ensure when submitting your copy in a word document that there are no double spaces between words as these can corrupt in some browsers and change the appearance of the email.
If you would like to supply your copy in xHTML format we need it at least 3 days prior to the scheduled delivery date of the solus e-mail.
xHTML requirements
xHTML (eXtensible HyperText Markup Language) is a stricter and cleaner version of HTML and will therefore work in all browsers.
We need you to comply with some simple coding guidelines.
1. Using Style Sheets & Setting Customized Colours: Do not use body tags for global styles to specify colours.
2. Do not put any style sheets between the tags. If you are using style sheets, they must be placed AFTER the tag.
3. Please use specific names in style sheets. The safest way is to use unique names. Refine HTML tags using classes not ID tags.
4. xHTML elements must be properly nested
5. xHTML documents must be well-formed
6. Tag names must be in lowercase
7. All xHTML elements must be closed
8. Attribute names must be in lower case
9. Attribute values must be quoted
10. Attribute minimization is forbidden
11. The id attribute replaces the name attribute
12. The xHTML DTD defines mandatory elements
13. All image tags must have an alt tag
Logos and images
Your company logo (120 Pixels Wide, 60 Pixels High) should be supplied with your text. Please also send up to a further two images (200 Pixels Wide, 200 Pixels High). Please ensure that all images are sent as GIF or JPG files, and that the resolution is no less than 72dpi.
