The Study UK student profile is an article focusing on the experiences of your candidate’s study in the UK. The aim is to give readers an insider view of the programme, including the tuition, project work and any social or extracurricular activities they enjoyed.
The following three steps will help you write your student profile:
1. Personal information
Please supply the following information about your chosen student:
* full name
* MBA programme title
* country of origin
* age
* university previously attended
* degree obtained from that university.
2. Career history – 50 words
This is a brief summary of your their academic and professional career to date. It should be written in the third person (eg, John Smith decided to complete a postgraduate programme to give his career an extra dimension)
3. Main text – 600 words
This is where you can tell their story. It should be written from their own point of view (eg, "I felt that completing postgraduate studies would be an ideal boost for my career..."). Try to start with a strong introductory paragraph, so students want to read on. Please organise the story under three or four relevant subheadings.
Suggested areas to cover:
* Why did you choose this programme?
* Describe the programme. What were the best elements in your opinion?
* What tuition methods were used and how effective were they?
* Were there any other requirements (eg, personal skills, experience) that have been useful in your studies?
* What mix of backgrounds and cultures did the other students on the programme offer? Was this beneficial and if so, how?
* How did you cope with the demands of the programme?
* Did you enjoy any extra curricular activities?
* How would you sum up the experience of studying this programme at this business school?
* Why would you recommend the programme to others?
* How has the programme helped in the development of your career?
* What are your future plans?
