The German International School of Management and Administration (GISMA) is Germany’s leading Business School, with the oldest and largest full-time MBA programme in Germany and students from over 20 different countries. GISMA’s executive MBA programme is ranked number 12 worldwide by the FT, and number one in the German-speaking market.

The challenge
GISMA wanted to both distinguish itself from rival business schools and increase its international reach. It aimed to diversify its student body and wanted to boost its credibility as a global player in the international MBA market.

Our solution
The Hobsons Global MBA Guide provided GISMA with a great opportunity to showcase its offering, helping to raise its profile as a top MBA course provider among potential students worldwide. Our MBA website gave GISMA the chance to have a constant and tangible presence in the marketplace, with strategically placed banners working alongside their online profile and case study pages to help GISMA stand out from their rivals. GISMA was also positioned top in search results on the MBA website, ensuring they were seen first by students searching for MBA schools. 

GISMA marketed itself to members of our student database through e-zines and bespoke mailshots. Being featured in our MBA e-zine allowed GISMA to generate interest at strategic times, driving traffic to its website. Bespoke e-mail shots enabled GISMA to target the students they were particularly eager to reach, choosing to target students according to certain criteria so as to encourage applications from the most relevant candidates.

Results
Through using the right combination of marketing channels, GISMA achieved the duel goals of building its profile across the world and attracting high calibre candidates to fill their imminent vacancies. GISMA believed that the e-zines and mailshots worked particularly well, with a large number of students contacting GISMA as a result.

The future
GISMA wants to increase its number of full-time students substantially and is continuously looking for highly qualified students from all over the world.
