The Global Management Challenge is the world's largest strategic business competition
Since 1980, it has been key in helping the world's premier recruiters identify future talent, with over 375,000 contestants since the competition began. This year, over 19,000 competitors from 28 countries will take part.
GMC at a glance…
How does the competition work?
Students enter the GMC in university teams of three to five, with each team running a virtual business. At the heart of the GMC is a sophisticated business simulator, constantly updated to remain ahead of management trends.
The teams make decisions which affect every area of their virtual business, from R&D and production to sales and environmental concerns. They also have to deal with real-life scenarios such as computer bugs, currency fluctuations and terrorist attacks. The aim is to finish the game with the highest price on the virtual stock exchange.
