Some of the findings of the Hobsons International Student Survey 2007 were presented at the recent Guardian HE Summit by Research Manager Line Verbik
Line's talk formed part of the International Stream and centred around recruiting the global students of today and tomorrow.
Drawing on a range of recent studies into international education, including IDP’s Global Study Mobility report, the Hobsons International Student Survey 2007 and Alan Olsen’s International Office Operations study, Line discussed the UK’s competitiveness in relation to the US and Australia and newer competitors such as Malaysia.
Key themes were: international student perceptions of fees and funding; visa pricing across key countries and student expectations of UK institutions.
