Hobsons was delighted to co-host its first UK on-campus users? meeting last week, at the brand new City Campus East at Northumbria University
55 users of Hobsons Enrolment Management Technology (EMT) products, from 25 different universities, gathered together in Newcastle, for a day of brainstorming, sharing ideas and networking.
Integrated marketing campaign
The group first heard from Martin Thomas, Marketing Manager at Northumbria University, who revealed the secrets of how the university won a global EMT Excellence Award at the recent international users’ conference in Boston, Massachusetts. Martin showcased the integrated marketing communications campaign that Northumbria had executed using Hobsons software, which contributed to a 63% increase in conversion rates from enquiry to application.

Sharing best practice
Users started working together on some innovative new projects to collaborate and share best practice, including the creation of a ‘wiki’ to act as a user-generated knowledge bank on EMT products.
Events for EMT users
The event was part of a programme of events and activities that Hobsons offers to all users of its enrolment management software, through their exclusive membership of the EMT Users’ Network. This year’s programme with culminate in July 2008, at a luxury resort in Phoenix, Arizona, with an international EMT users’ conference of 500 users from three continents.
Lisa Colman, Head of CRM at the University of Central Lancashire, said, 'Thanks for a really successful event – our team has returned full of new ideas and tips that we plan to integrate into our recruitment campaign.'
Maggie Frantz, Head of Operations at Hobsons EMT, added, 'The number of universities using EMT products has grown rapidly this year, and a major priority is welcoming all these users into our family of users.
