As part of our exciting ongoing development of the Study UK website (www.studyuk.hobsons.com), in April we undertook usability testing in conjunction with leading web consultancy Webcredible
Usability testing assesses how easy a website’s target market finds it to use the site for its intended purpose and highlights successes and areas for improvement.
International students
We recruited a number of international students from countries as varied as China, India and Japan to come to Webcredible’s offices and gave them tasks to complete on the Study UK website, such as searching for a course, registering for our Student Membership Service and learning more about a specific institution.
At each stage, their responses and opinions were monitored, analysed and recorded to build up a picture of what international students need from a website like ours.
Shaping Study UK
The results of the usability testing will be revealed this month and will shape our web development over the coming months to ensure that Study UK fulfils the needs of our diverse student audience.
