The first group of Chinese graduates taking part in the UK-China Graduate Work Experience Programme has arrived in the UK
This high-profile project, managed by Hobsons on behalf of the UK Government's Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills and the Ministry of Education in China, offers China's most promising final-year students paid internships in the UK.
The first 40 students arrived on 11 November, and will be starting their internships in the next few weeks. The graduates will be working in a variety of roles, including consulting at Accenture, strategic insight at Associated Newspapers, and corporate control at Lehman Brothers.
Internships still available
The next intake of 75 graduates is due to arrive in the UK in April 2008, and there are still a small number of opportunities to offer internships to more students. This is an excellent opportunity for you to access a skilled, motivated and talented pool of candidates from China's leading universities.
Hobsons awarded Hong Kong project
Due to the phenomenal success of the UK-China programme, Hobsons has just been selected by the Government to manage a second project which will bring 20 graduates from Hong Kong’s top universities to work in the UK. The first intake of students will arrive in April 2008.
